Hormone

A hormone is a chemical released by a particular cell or a gland in one part of the body, that sends out messages that affect cells in other parts of the body. Hormones are a chemical messenger that transports a signal from one cell to another. In the body, hormones stimulate or inhibit growth, impact our mood, control our reproductive cycles, stimulate hunger cravings, activate or inhibit our immune system, regulatie the metabolism, prepare the body for mating, fleeing, fighting, or other activity. Hormones prepare our bodies for different stages of life, like; puberty; parenting; menopause; and andropause.
